About Chidambaram Shipcare
Chidambaram Shipcare was established in 1979, in Chennai (then known as Madras). Over the past three decades in the business, we have built an unbroken tradition of Customer Orientation. The spirit of "can do" that permeates the organization is the real force behind our effectiveness. Our Chennai workshop located within Chennai port limits supports our India east coast operations. Our Mumbai workshop is located in the Mumbai dock area and supports our operations on the west coast of India. We are also currently carrying out ship building work at Bhavnagar, Gujarat. General-purpose machine tools, welding equipment, lifting devices, gantry crane provide the basic support. A clean room, special tools for working on engines, pipes, heat exchangers and NDT instruments complement the basic machinery. Our personnel are our greatest asset in this service-oriented industry. We have a strong team of over 100 employees. Our managers, engineers and technicians have a wide exposure to complex problems that enable us to provide optimal solutions. We have adopted ISO 9001 / 2000 Quality management system for the processes of ship repairs, supply of spares and execution of engineering contracts.
