Forth Estuary Towage Limited (FET) is a Scottish tug operator founded in 1981 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Forth Ports. One of only three companies licensed to operate tugs on the River Forth, FET is the sole provider of towage, escort, and standby services to the Braefoot terminal and the ports of Rosyth and Leith, as well as Methil, Kirkcaldy, and Burntisland. The fleet of four vessels includes Voith Schneider tugs and a 70-tonne bollard pull Azimuth Stern Drive tug. FET was involved in high-profile projects including moving hull sections for aircraft carriers HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales.
