About SeaTec Inspections Services
SeaTec was originally formed in 1987 as Acomarit Consulting to provide ship inspection and superintendency services for Acomarit's managed fleet of wet and dry cargo vessels. When Acomarit was acquired by V.Group, the business was renamed V. Ships Consulting with subsidiary brand SeaTec Safety Services providing independent onboard safety assessments and training. Our repair services were integrated into SeaTec in April 2008, suppling high quality repair and riding squad teams for port and in-service repairs worldwide. In 2006, SeaTec's underwater services were enhanced with the acquisition of UMC International which would later be rebranded to SeaTec. In August 2007 we opened our new head office at Skypark in Glasgow, situated close to the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), Glasgow city centre and within easy reach by car, train or other public transport to Glasgow and Edinburgh international airports. In 2019, all of our technical maritime services were brought under the SeaTec brand, offering a range of expertise including projects and new build, inspections, repairs and maintenance, communications, condition monitoring and underwater services. condition survey; pre purchase; drydock supervision
